Shane Schick is the editor of ComputerWorld Canada, the country’s longest-running magazine dedicated to covering the IT industry for Canadian technology professionals. Shane joined the IT Business Group in 1997 as a staff writer for Computer Dealer News. In 2000, he was appointed the company’s first full-time online editor, launching ITBusiness.ca in 2001 and its daily newsletter, IT Business Update, which serves more than 80,000 subscribers. Shane also helped develop the company’s weekly channel and French-language e-mail newsletters. Shane has a B.A.A. in journalism from Ryerson Polytechnic University. Shane has made a number of appearances on TV and radio, including CBC Newsworld, discussing Canadian technology trends and writes a column about technology for the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business. In 2006, Shane received the Innovation Award for Excellence in Science and Technology Reporting from the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance.
